Cosplaying at Cospendium

Here at Cospendium we LOVE cosplay, it’s literally in the title of the event. However we do have some guidelines and basic rules to ensure everyone is kept safe.

  • Inappropriate Signage

Encouraging messages on signs are loved here at Cospendium however ill-mannered and offensive depictions are not. Please refrain from bringing in any signs with inappropriate and attacking language or images.

  • Obscene and Abusive Language

We understand that some characters come with their own speech patterns however here at Cospendium we do not endorse the actions of these characters, that’s why we politely ask for all cosplayers and all attendees to be respectful of their surroundings and use appropriate and kind language.

  • Jeeps, Trolleys and Carts

Due to attendee safety Cospendium does not permit any carts, wheeled luggage or trolleys throughout the convention grounds. If your cosplay includes one of these items we ask that you email hello@cospendium.com.au at least 14 days prior to the convention to gain written approval by one of the management team.

Food and Beverage

Due to health and safety requirements, guests are not permitted to bring outside food and beverages to the convention grounds. With exception to bottled water, food is strictly prohibited in all panel areas. Cospendium staff have the right to refuse entry to any space on the convention grounds if an attendee breaches the aforementioned.

Please keep in mind your surrounding environment and dispose of all rubbish into the appropriate bins. Attendees who cause damage or disregard the environment are subject to being reprimanded at the discretion of Cospendium staff.

Remediation

Cospendium reserves the right to amend and alter elements of the Code of Conduct and to make interpretations of the conditions listed above. Cospendium will act as the final evaluator in all disputes, principally where attendee’s safety may be at risk. Cospendium reserves the right to provide the appropriate remediation as a result of any breach of this Code of Conduct, including but not limited to expulsion from the event, referral to the authorities and denied entrance to further Cospendium events.
